The Blue Ridge Raider baseball team grabbed three wins this week to take command of the Lackawanna League Division III.
On Monday, the Raiders toppled Elk Lake, 3-1, and also earned a 7-3 home victory over Western Wayne on Friday and took a 4-3 victory at home over Mountain View on Thursday afternoon.
Against Western Wayne, the Raiders struck first in the bottom of the third inning with a single run.
However, the Wildcats took the lead with a single run in the top of each of the fourth and fifth innings to make it 2-1.

single run from Western Wayne in the seventh, Blue Ridge took the win.
Joey Zawiski had two hits including a double and two RBIs and Adam Gordon went two-for-three with a triple and an RBI.
Dylan Pruitt was the winning pitched giving up three hits, two earned runs and a walk while striking out two over three innings.
On Thursday, the Raiders scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to pick up the win as Jacob Roberts had two hits and drove in a pair of runs for Blue Ridge.
Mountain View held a 2-0 lead until the top of the fifth when they made it 3-0. The Raiders got on the board in the bottom of the sixth with a single run and then finished off the Eagles in the seventh.

Zawiski was the winning pitcher giving up nine hits, three earned runs and five walks over seven innings while striking out five.
Mountain View had hits from Adams, Scott Edwards, Dylan Thomas and Wakalowski with two apiece while Karch Frantz added a RBI and Nate Goodenough had a pair of RBIs.
Mountain View
The Mountain View baseball team grabbed an 11-8 victory over Lackawanna Trail on the road Friday after it picked up a 6-3 victory over Montrose at a home game on Tuesday evening.
On Friday, the Eagles picked up four runs in the first inning and one in the second to lead the Lions 5-3 at the top of the third inning.
Trail however, scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the third to tie things up before Mountain View would score in the top of the fifth to make it 6-5.
The Lions continued to battle Mountain View, taking its first lead of the game, 8-6, with three runs in the fifth.

Mountain View however, answered back with three runs in the sixth and a pair of runs in the seventh to take the 11-8 win.
Dylan Thomas had two hits, including a double and added two RBIs.
Greg Adams scored three runs and Nate Goodenough added a solo homer for Mountain View.
Mike Wakalowski had the mound win diving up six hits, three earned runs and a walk while striking out four over four and one-thirds innings.
Against Montrose, the Eagles fell behind 1-0 after Montrose plated a runner in the first inning, but came back to tie things up in the bottom of the second at 1-1.
Montrose then surged ahead with a 2-run third inning, before the Eagles would come up big with five runs in the fourth to take back the lead for good.
Julian Williams went four-for-four with a double and two RBIs while Joel Madas also doubled and drove in two runs to lead the Eagles.
Montrose was paced by a double from Dan Simonds who while Marz had a hit and an RBI for the Meteors.
Dylan Thomas picked up the mound victory for the Eagles pitching seven innings and giving up three hits, three runs and two walks while striking out 10.
Steve Squires was Montrose’s losing pitcher after giving up four hits, three runs and a walk during 1/3 innings of work.

Elk Lake
The Elk Lake baseball team faced a 2-1 loss against Western Wayne on Thursday at home after it grabbed a 10-1 victory over Forest City during a home game on Tuesday evening.
On Thursday, Elk Lake and Western Wayne each scored a run in the sixth inning, and a single run by Western Wayne in the top of the seventh put the Wildcats over the top.
Damien Dailey took the pitching loss from the Warriors giving up five hits and two earned runs over two innings.
Holden Lunger, Nick Dudock, Matt Horvath, Jeff Horvath and Ricky Guiton all had hits for the Warriors.
Against Forest City, the Warriors took a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the second, and piled on three more runs in the fourth inning while keeping Forest City scoreless.
Elk Lake plated an eighth runner in the fifth before Forest City scored a single run in the top of the sixth. The Warriors then capped off the win with a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Jeff Horvath picked up a pair of hits and two RBIs to lead Elk Lake while Matt Horvath had two hits and a RBI. Holden Lunger added a double.
Ricky Guiton was the winning pitcher for the Warriors giving up one hit and no earned runs while striking out two and walking one over three innings.
For Forest City, Jensen and Kleinbauer each had a hit while Fitzsimmons look the mound loss giving up six hits, five earned runs and two walks while striking out two.
Forest City
Forest City’s boys’ baseball team faced a 16-0 loss to Lackawanna Trail in a four-inning shutout at Tunnel Hill on Thursday.
Trail got ahead early in the game with a nine-run third inning while keeping the Foresters scoreless before scoring an additional six in the fourth to put the mercy rule into effect and end the game.
Nebzydoski took the pitching loss for Forest City giving up seven earned runs and two hits while talking four and striking out two over 2 and a third innings.
Forest City’s only hits came from Zach Mendoza with a double and a single.
Montrose
The Montrose Area boys’ baseball team picked up a 7-5 victory over Susquehanna at home on Thursday afternoon.
The Meteors got ahead 5-0 after three runs in the first and another two in the second.
However, Susquehanna scored a run in the fourth and a pair of runs in the fifth and sixth.
But a single run in each of the fifth and sixth innings would prove enough to help Montrose hold onto the early lead and take the win.
Casey O’Reilly went 3-for-4 to score twice to lead Montrose. Dan Simonds also scored two runs for the Meteors.
Greg Price homered for Susquehanna to lead the way, as Austin Cowperthwait took the pitching loss.
Dylan Rapisardi took the mound victory for Montrose giving up two hits, two earned runs and two walks while fanning six batters over four innings.
