Hall, Trowbridge named All-Region

Blue Ridge’s Allison Hall and Elk Lake’s Maria Trowbridge have both been named to the Scranton Times-Tribune All-Region girls’ track and field team.

Hall, a Blue Ridge senior middle-distance runner, took first place overall at the Robert Spagna Meet in the 800 at 2:23.76.

She also place first in the 800 at 2:19.71 at the District II Class AA championship and capped her senior year with a fifth place in the 800 at 2:16.56 at the PIAA Class AA championship.

This is Hall’s second All-Region selection and she also ran as a member of the

MARIA TROWBRIDGE

400 relay team and the 1600 relay team for Blue Ridge. Hall set a school record with her time at the state meet.

Trowbridge, a junior distance runner for Elk Lake, took a silver in the 1600 at the District II Class AA meet in the 1600 at 5:18.10 and the 3200 at 11:58.96 and also took 21st in the state at the PIAA Class AA meet at 12:10.57.

This is Trowbridge’s third All-Region selection and is also a member of the Elk Lake 3200 relay team that won a District II Class AA gold medal, and is a key member of the team’s Class AA Jordan Relay championship.
