Meteor soccer falls to Tunkhannock

Montrose Area’s boys’ soccer team faced a 6-2 loss from Tunkhannock Area at home on Friday in an exhibition game.

Goals for Montrose came from Corey Adams and Nick Henry with Matt Lewis picking up an assist.

For Tunkhannock, Ryan Karnopp had four goals in the contest while Dean Mirabelli added a pair of goals and two assists.

Tiger Jacob Hughes had two assists and Brian Ly and Eric Stamer each chipped in with assist.

Zach Daniels and Luke Cruver combined at goalie to rack up 14 saves for Tunkhannock while Cody Malloy for Montrose had 11 saves.

Tunkhannock took 21 shots on goal while Montrose had 18. The Tigers had five corners and Montrose had six.
