The Blue Ridge girls’ volleyball team handed Susquehanna its first loss of the season in a 3-1 victory atNew Milfordon Tuesday evening.
Raider Ashley Warren had 21 assists, five aces, 10 digs and four kills asBlue Ridgebeat the Sabers in four sets, 25-16, 21-25, 25-22 and 25-18.
Kaylee Ragard added 12 kills, 12 digs and one block while Kristen Brown had four aces, 21 digs and five kills for the Raiders.
Danielle Barnes led Susquehanna with 16 service points, five aces, 13 assists, two digs and two blocks.
Devin Breese added five service points, three aces, six digs and eight kills and Amber Dubanowitz added 16 service points, three aces and two kills for the Sabers.
Both teams are now 3-1 on the season.
The Mountain View Eagle girls’ volleyball team lost 3-2 at home to Lackawanna Trail on Thursday and picked up a 3-1 victory overElkLakeon the road on Tuesday evening.
Against Lackawanna Trail,Mountain Viewhanded the Lions two straight losses, 22-25 and 20-25, before the Lions came back to win three consecutive sets 25-17, 25-18 and 15-13.
Dominique Chadwick had 11 kills, four aces and six digs forMountain View. Melissa Monahan added seven kills and four aces and Taylor Nally had 19 assists and three aces.
On Tuesday, the Eagles set down the Warriors in three consecutive victories, 25-14, 27-25 and 25-17.
Mountain View’s Chadwick had six kills, 11 digs and two aces while Monahan had four kills and five aces and Ashley Mesach added two kills and five blocks. Nally had 15 assists.
ForElkLake, Kelsey Caines had three kills and two blocks, Kati VanEtten had five digs and Crley Bennett added five digs in the loss.
The Susquehanna girls’ volleyball team picked up a 3-2 win overWestern Wayneon the road on Thursday afternoon.
The Sabers won the first set 25-21 before losing the second 25-23.
The Sabers took the lead with a 25-19 win in the third set before the Wildcats tied it back up with a 25-18 win in the fourth set.
However, Susquehanna came out victorious with a 15-13 win in the final set.

TheForestCitygirls’ volleyball team grabbed a 3-1 win over Montrose at home on Thursday evening.
The Foresters won the first set, 25-14 before Montrose would tie things up with a 25-21 win in the second.
However,ForestCitytook two consecutive set wins, 25-22 and 25-19 to defeat the Meteors.
Courtney Andrews had 15 service points, two blocks, eight kills, five assists and 15 digs, and Kristine Kuriger added 19 service points, one block, three kills, five assists and five digs to lead the Lady Foresters.
Sarah Kubus had 16 service points, two kills and seven assists, Morgan Saul added 12 service points, two aces, nine assists and three digs, Samanthe Kuriger 24 service points, one ace, one block, five kills and three assists and Stephanie Ramos had nine service points, three kills and one assist.
For Montrose, Brittany Hartman had seven aces and eight digs, Katie Volk and Dallas Ely each had 10 kills and Miranda Dunne and Ally Stocks each recorded 11 assists.
ElkLake’s girls’ volleyball team faced a 3-0 loss fromDunmoreon the road on Thursday evening.
The Warriors lost in consecutive sets, 25-14, 25-11 and 25-11 to take the loss against undefeatedDunmore.
Susanne Tewksbury led the Warriors with four assists and two digs while Kati VanEtten added four assists and two kills.
