A 79-year old Middletown Twp. man died in a Tuesday, Oct. 18, afternoon fire that leveled a Bolton Rd.residence.
Susquehanna County Coroner Anthony Conarton identified the victim as William McCarty, 79.
McCarty died from carbon moxide poisoning caused by smoke inhalation, the coroner said.
The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined. The incident remains under investigation by the state police fire marshal unit but is not believed to be suspicious.
