One of the goals Bill Jones had when he took over as boys basketball coach atForestCitywas to bring back the pride.

He continues to develop that goal among his current team, while honoring and teaching players about the program’s glorious past.

On Wednesday theForestCityboys basketball team will be sponsoring its second annual Alumni Game at6:30 p.m.at the Julius Prezelski Gymnasium.

Before the game,ForestCitywill honor the 1991-1992 team that finished 26-2. There will be a banner dedicated in the gymnasium celebrating the 20-year anniversary of the team that featured Jason Maile, who isForestCity’s all-time leading scorer, and who was named the Associated Press Pennsylvania Small School Player of the Year.

Maile and seven other members of the 1,000-point scoring club atForestCitywill be playing in the alumni game.

There are 18 former players participating and legendary Hall of Fame coach Julius Prezelski, who retired with the most wins in the state, will be coaching one of the teams.
