Williams made a huge donation of a new foam trailer to the United Fire Company of Montrose which was acknowledged during Harford Fair week.

On hand for the ceremony were fire chiefs from Harford, Hop Bottom and Montrose, and Helen Humphreys of Williams who extended much thanks for all the first responders do across the region.

United Fire Chief Preston Sprout said the trailer was a first forSusquehannaCounty.

He said it represented the latest technology and very definitely would be a huge asset in fighting difficult fires.

Sprout added that he appreciated Williams’ continuing commitment to public safety and noted that the foam trailer would be available for use by all of the county’s fire companies.

He said that a task force would be created to make sure all companies were properly trained in its use.
