Lady Foresters knock Mt. View

The Forest City girls’ basketball team handed Mountain View a 50-29 loss at home on Tuesday evening.

The Foresters were outscored 12-11 by Mountain View the first quarter, but used a 19-5 run in the second to take a 30-17 lead by halftime.

In the second half, the Foresters increased their lead with an 8-5 run in the third and a 12-5 run in the fourth.

Carly Erdmann scored 21 points to lead the Foresters while Cassandra Bendyk added 14 points for the winners.

Makenna Whitaker paced Mountain View with 13 points while Caity Tague had seven and Megan Getz scored five.

Elk Lake

The Elk Lake girls’ basketball team faced a 45-27 loss to Mid Valley at home on Tuesday evening.

The Warriors were outscored 12-7 in the first quarter and 11-5 in the second to trail 23-12 at halftime.

In the second half, the Spartans paced the Warriors 13-7 in the third and 9-8 in the fourth to take the win.

Elk Lake was led by Meagan Bush with eight points while Casey Tyler and Darci Warner each scored six.
