Warriors top Mountain View

The Elk Lake boys’ volleyball team grabbed a 3-2 victory over Mountain View on the road in Lackawanna League action on Tuesday night.

Mountain View won the first two sets, 25-18 and 25-18, but Elk Lake rallied to win the final three sets, 25-23, 25-23 and 15-12 to top the Eagles.

Dan Noldy had 15 kills, nine service points, 11 digs, and three blocks and James Martin added seven kills and nine blocks.

Jared Berg had seven kills, four blocks and 15 digs and Cody Franssen had 30 assists, four aces and 12 service points for Elk Lake.

Chad Schmidt paced Mountain View with 19 kills, Austin Mack had 30 assists and Brandon Zentmeyer added eight digs.

Forest City

The Forest City boys’ volleyball team was handed a 3-1 loss from Western Wayne on the road on Tuesday.
The Foresters lost the first two sets, 25-12 and 25-18, before winning the third 25-20. However, Western Wayne capped the win with a 25-20 victory in the fourth set.

Joe Falbo led Forst City with 24 service points, four blocks and five kills. Ryan Long had eight service points, two blocks, two kills, six assists and four digs and Logan McHale added 17 service points, three blocks, two kills, 10 assists and one dig.

Blue Ridge

The Blue Ridge boys’ volleyball team was handed a 3-1 loss from Lackawanna Trail on the road on Tuesday night.

The Lions lost the first set, 25-17, to Blue Ridge, but rallied back with 25-12, 25-20 and 30-28 wins in the next three sets to take the victory.

Austin French had five aces and 15 assists for Blue Ridge, Mark Oakley had six kills and Kyle Rivenburgh had three aces and five kills.

Susquehanna

The Susquehanna boys’ volleyball team faced a 3-0 loss from Abington Heights at home on Wednesday night.

The Sabers fell in straight sets, 25-14, 25-14 and 25-22 to the Comets.

Cody Dibble paced Susquehanna with 14 digs. Luke Falletta had six kills and six blocks and Steven Frye had nine kills and two blocks.
