Two Forest City golfers placed in the top five at the District 2 Lackawanna League qualifier held Wednesday, Sept. 17 at Elmhurst Country Club. Twenty District 2 golfers advanced to the individual championships Oct. 6 at Fox Hill Country Club.
Adam Kowalewski (77) and Dylan Odell (78) led the Foresters; while Montrose’s Austin Smith also broke 80 in benign conditions.
Local golfers that met the qualifying standard 93 on the par 72 course included:
Class AA: Adam Kowalewski, Forest City 77; Austin Smith, Montrose 77; Dylan Odell, Forest City 78; Kory Morrison, Montrose 86; Mitchell Blake, Forest City 91; Bradley Wayman, Montrose 92; Cole Tyler, Elk Lake 93.
