Blue Ridge ranked second in league

At 12-3, Blue Ridge stands second in the Lackawanna League rankings, trailing the powerhouse Dunmore (12-1).

The Lady Raiders collected two wins in the past week from Montrose and Susquehanna.

On the Sabers’ court Monday, Kristine Carlsen had 15 points and 10 digs and Katherine Kempa had 22 assists to lead Blue Ridge.

Megan Houlihan had eight kills, 12 digs and nine points for the Lady Raiders and Chloe Randall had eight points and six digs.

Ana Smith had seven kills and 12 digs for Susquehanna and Bailey Barnes had 23 digs.

Montrose fell to Western Wayne, 3-0. Lacey Nealy had five aces, six digs and eight assists for Montrose and Megan Dunne had six kills and six digs.

Emily Statkun had 19 points and 23 digs and Solana Stratford had eight points and 20 assists to lead Forest City to a 3-1 win over Susquehanna in a Lackawanna League match.

Courtney Daniels had eight points, six kills and 24 digs for the Lady Foresters, Kendra Bendyk had six points, seven kills and 16 digs and Zoe Zazzera had five points, 12 kills and 29 digs.

Ana Smith led Susquehanna with 10 kills and 17 digs and Felicia Hines had 15 digs.

The Lady Warriors fell to Lackawanna Trail, 3-0; and Mountain View lost out to Dunmore, 3-0.

Leanna Allen had six assists for Mountain View in the match.

Montrose scored a 3-0 win over Elk Lake.

Lacey Nealy had six kills, six digs and 13 assists and Emily Stankiewicz had 10 kills and 11 assists to lead Montrose.

Kasey Warner had eight kills for the Lady Meteors.

Sam Lauer led Elk Lake with 10 points.
