Meteors pick up track wins

The Montrose boys remain unbeaten on the track with wins last week over Susquehanna and Blue Ridge. The Raiders picked up a win over Mountain View; Elk Lake defeated Lackawanna Trail; and Eagle James Goodenough set school records in two events.

Montrose got two wins from Billy Hewes (110 hurdles, 400), Michael Stewert (100, long jump), Zach Mead (1,600, 800) and Colin Mondi (discus, javelin) in a 129-11 win over Susquehanna.

Blue Ridge defeated Mountain View, 81-67. Brett Hepler won the discus, javelin and triple jump and Allan Weed won the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles for the winners.

Mountain View’s James Goodenough set school records in the 100 (11.2) and the 400 (51.9).

And Elk Lake defeated Lackawanna Trail, 85-65. Eddie Cumens won the 200, long jump and pole vault for the Warriors.

Montrose remained undefeated with an 81-68 win over Blue Ridge on Thursday, Billy Hewes won the 110 hurdles and the 400, Michael Stewert won the 200 and long jump, and Colin Mondi won the high jump and pole vault for the Meteors.

Craig Stanley won the 100 and triple jump, and Brett Hepler had wins in the discus and javelin for Blue Ridge.

Susquehanna fell to Holy Cross, 81-68.

Mountain View was defeated by Dunmore, 111-49, in a Division III-IV crossover meet.

Anthony Montaro won the 110 hurdles and 300 hurdles, and Kyle Lasher won the 200 and long jump to lead Dunmore to a 111-49 win over Mountain View in a Division III-IV crossover.

Dunmore moved to 4-0 and will run at unbeaten Lakeland in a Division III meet Tuesday.
