A head-on crash claimed the life of a Luzerne County woman Tuesday, July 21, in Bridgewater Twp.

Anne Gober, 45, of Wyoming, was pronounced dead at the scene after her Chevrolet Silverado was struck in the collision by driver Michael Argust, 33, of Montrose.

Following an autopsy Wednesday, Susquehanna County Coroner Anthony Conarton said Gober died from multiple traumatic injuries.

Argust was critically injured and flown by helicopter to Robert Packard Hospital in Sayre for treatment.

According to police, Argust was traveling south on the North Road when his GMC Envoy crossed fully into the northbound lane and hit Gober’s vehicle.
Tpr. Alan Deutsch responded to the scene. The crash is still being actively investigated.
