Investigators from the Troop R Fire Marshal Unit said a fire that destroyed a vacant farmhouse June 19 in Forest Lake Twp. was intentionally set.
This is the second arson to occur at the house, located on SR 267, just south of the Birchardville Rd. The first fire happening in September 2013.
A pickup truck was observed pulling into a grassy area near the home about 15 minutes prior to flames breaking out at 3:24 a.m. Sunday morning.
Within minutes, the house was fully engulfed in flames and completely destroyed.
The residence is owned by Martin and Sylinda Alfred of Dalton.
