Museum of Local History open house, March 15

Have you ever wondered where the saying sleep tight came from, or what a barber’s pole represents ? 

Do you now how Tramp art kept idle hands busy during the Depression? Do you know how hair braiding was used to represent a family before photography? 

If you would like to learn the answers visit the Clifford Township Historical Society’s Museum of Local History Sunday, March 15, 1-4 p.m. The museum is located inside the Community Center building at 119 Cemetery Street in Clifford. Admission is free and the museum is handicapped accessible.

The displays and art work in the museum have impressed many visitors since 2012. Come to Clifford and enjoy an afternoon with docent stories make the past come alive. All ages will learn and appreciate what the museum has to offer. Info: swilmot@echoes.net  or 570-679-2723.
