Mountain View

Mountain View’s boys’ soccer team took a 3-2 loss from Delaware Valley at a home game on Thursday.

In the first half, Delaware Valley scored a goal at 16:00 to take the lead.

After halftime, Mountain View got on the board with a goal from Joe Jarrow with an assist from Dylan Thomas at 51:00.

The Eagles then took the lead with a goal from D. Thomas with an assist from Dan McWhirr at 54:00 to make it 2-1.

However, Delaware Valley would tie the game up to send it to overtime where DV knocked in a penalty kick to take the win.

Mountain View had 19 shots on goal and seven corners while goalie Chris Herman racked up five saves on goal.

Montrose

Montrose Area’s boys’ soccer team picked up a 1-0 victory over the Elk Lake Warriors at home on Tuesday.

Matt Lewis’ first-half goal gave the Meteors the victory over Elk Lake as the Warriors struggled to come up with some offense.

Montrose had nine shots on goal and four corners while goalie Danny Simonds had 14 saves.

Elk Lake had 14 shots on goal and eight corner kicks while Warrior goalie Nick Dudock had eight saves.

Forest City

The Forest City boys’ soccer team grabbed a 7-0 win over Riverside at home on Thursday after it faced a loss from Lakeland on the road on Tuesday as the Chiefs defeated them, 3-0.

On Thursday, Forest City got on the board at 3:27 in the first half with a goal from David Cavalieri with an assist from Ryan Long, before Kevin Swartz booted in two goals at 4:47 and 6:33 to make it 3-0 Foresters.

Mitchel Goben scored with an assist from Long at 38:26 to cap off the first half at 4-0 and after the break Swart booted in a goal at 57:05 to make it 5-0.

Forset City finished off Riverside with goals from Jake Fedak at 71:55 and Goben at 77:54 to take the 7-0 win.

The Foresters had 27 shots on goal and six corners while goalie Zack Sosnowski had one save.

Lakeland had a first half goal at 14:33 to hold a 1-0 lead at halftime, and after the break knocked in a goal at 56:15 and 65:50 to take the 3-0 win.

Forest City had nine shots on goal and three corners as Sosnowski picked up 10 saves on the day.

Blue Ridge

Blue Ridge’s boys’ soccer team played to a 0-0 tie with Lakeland on Thursday after it was handed a 4-1 loss from Old Forge at home on Tuesday afternoon.

Against Lakeland, the game went scoreless through two periods and two overtimes as Blue Ridge had 10 shots on goal and four corners and goalie Tama Galu-Edgar picked up 10 saves.

Old Forge picked up its first goal after halftime as J. Argonish picked up a pair of goals at 48:46 and 61:20 to give the Blue Devils a 2-0 lead.

Old Forge then had a third goal at 71:12 before Raider Haley Rupakus would score with an assist from Billy Rupakus at 74:37 to make it a 3-1 game.

However, Old Forge struck again at 78:53 to notch the 4-1 win.

Blue Ridge had nine shots on goal and three corners while Galu-Edgar picked up 10 saves.

Elk Lake

Elk Lake’s boys’ soccer team picked up a 2-1 victory over Holy Cross at home on Thursday.

Elk Lake scored at 24:08 in the first half off a goal from Cody Franssen with an assist from Tory Newhart to make it 1-0 at the half.

After halftime, Holy Cross scored at 41:30 to tie things up, but Newhart would knock in a goal of his own with an assist from Thurn Thanormthin at 61:18 to lift the Warriors, 2-1.

Elk Lake had 19 shots on goal and two corners while goalie Nick Dudock had 13 saves.
