Man charged for dealing heroin

Charges leveled against a Great Bend man were bound over for trial Monday to the Susquehanna County Court of Common Pleas.

Joshua Calby, 29, waived his preliminary hearing scheduled for Monday in Montrose District Court.

According to the affidavit, Calby allegedly sold five bags of heroin to a police informant for $100 in February 2010.

Calby was charged by Susquehanna County Detective William Strong with manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver; possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered; and conspiracy.

He was released on $25,000 unsecured bail on Jan. 24, after waiving a hearing in front of District Judge Jeffrey Hollister.

A formal arraignment was scheduled for Feb. 15.
