Warriors defeated by Trail

Elk Lake’s baseball team took a 10-3 loss at Tunnel Hill on Saturday from Lackawanna Trail in its opening game in Lackawanna League Division III.

Trail had a big first inning with four runs after Elk Lake opened up play plating a single runner in the first.

The Warriors brought the game to 4-2 in the top of the fifth inning, before Trail again scored a run to make it 5-2.

Elk Lake’s third run was in the top of the sixth inning, before Trail would add insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth to make it 10-3.

Elk Lake’s Nick Dudock hit a two-run homer for the Warriors while Peter McGee knocked a double.

Damien Dailey was the losing pitcher for Elk Lake giving up five hits and three earned runs while striking out five.

Holden Lunger relieved Dailey and gave up five hits and four earned runs while striking out five.
