The Montrose Area boys’ tennis team faced a 3-0 District II Class AA semifinal playoff loss to Scranton Prep at Kirby Park on Tuesday afternoon.
In singles, Cognetti defeated Zach Warriner, 6-0, 6-0; Temperton downed Michael Roman 6-3, 6-1; and Patel vs. Ryan Ochse, 6-3, 4-2 (match halted).
In doubles Fitzsimmons-Magurin vs. Isaac Mitchell-Chris Jordan 7-6 (9-7), 0-1 (match halted); Hanaue-Thomas over Sean Regan and Bryan Shultz, 6-0, 6-4.
The Meteors ended the season with a 9-4 overall record.
