Joyce Cobb of New Milford was presented the 2012 Jack Masters Service Award at the Republican Lincoln Day Dinner held on Feb. 18, at the Elk Lake American Legion.

This annual award, presented by Carol Masters in honor of her late husband, goes annually to a Susquehanna County Republican who exemplifies all of the principals of the Republican party.

Cobb, a committee member of long standing, was selected for all the work she does prior to every election with the distribution of ballots, stuffing envelopes and all other chores needed in a typical “grass roots” election effort.

Her attendance at all county events, her work on committees to promote the Republican party shows that Cobb takes her committee job to heart, those attending were told.
