Cocaine found in traffic stop

A bag of cocaine, with a street value of about $9,000, was seized March 2 during a traffic stop on I-81, Harford Twp.

According to a police report, Kendall Williams, 23,Elmira,N.Y., was stopped by police for a traffic violation.

Police said numerous criminal indicators were present and Williams consented to a search.

The bag of cocaine contained 150 grams of the controlled substance was found in the pocket of a jacket that was lying on the back seat of Williams’ vehicle.

Williams was charged with possession with intent to deliver; possession of a controlled substance; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arraigned by District Judge Suzanne Brainard on Friday, March 2. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Tuesday, March 6 in Clifford District Court.

Williams is being held in the Susquehanna County Correctional Facility on $100,000 bail.
