It has come to the attention of the Susquehanna County Independent that a date of birth missing from a listing in the magistrates’ report published July 8, 2020 has caused potential confusion for a person with the same first and last name and township of residence.
The listing should have identified Matthew J. Lewis of New Milford, no date of birth given, with charges filed in connection with an April 12 incident. The person facing charges in Montrose District Court should not be confused with a Matthew T. Lewis, age 52, of New Milford.
The Independent apologizes for any confusion the report may have caused.
