EMTC returns with Sweet Delilah Swim Club

Endless Mountains Theatre Company returns to the stage with the Sweet Delilah Swim Club on Thursday & Friday, Sept. 23-24, at 7 p.m; and Sunday, Sept. 26, at 2 p.m. The live theater production will happen in the Reimel Event Center in the Church Street Marketplace, Montrose.

Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the door.

 

Kiwanis Dinner, Pie/Cake Auction Supporting 4-H, Dairy Promotions

Kiwanis Club of Montrose has been helping the local Susquehanna County 4H and the Susquehanna County Dairy Promotion groups raise funds for the past 3 years in the form of a Chicken and Biscuit Dinner and Pie/Cake Auction.

This year the event will be held on Saturday, September 25, at the Montrose VFW.

Cost for the dinner is $12; Doors open at 6 p.m. The Pie/Cake Auction will take place after the dinner.

VFW 5642 Aux. Craft, Vendor, Flea Market

The VFW 5642 Auxiliary will be holding their annual Craft, Vendor and Flea Market event on Saturday, Oct.2, 9: 30 a.m.-2:15 p.m.

Proceeds all goes toward our Veterans Christmas Fund                for Families in Susquehanna County.

The VFW is located on Route 706, east of Montrose.

Interested vendors may request form or more info by calling Louise at                 570-967-2415.  Fee is $25.00 for a 8 foot space with table and chairs.

Auxiliary does a large Bale Sale.

The Montrose Area Adult School is presenting two classes: How to make a pumpkin roll, October 23rd at the First Presbyterian Church & Making Pumpkin Bread, October 13th at The Montrose VFW.

Soup Night

A free Soup Night will be held at the Dimock Christian Community Church, SR 3023, Dimock, October 13, 2021. Take out only. Pick up orders at the church from 4 to 5:30.

Please pre-order by October 8 by calling 570-289-4928.  Please leave message of kind of soup and size (pint or quart).  All orders include bread.

October soups are:  Chicken Noodle, Beefy Onion and Corn Chowder. 

Donations are accepted and go to our Support Fund to help those in need.

 

Harvest Dinner

The South Gibson UMC is hosting a Harvest Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 9, 3-7 p.m.

Your takeout packaged meal includes turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, butternut squash, cole slaw, Harvard beets, cranberry sauce, breads and homemade pie.

Adults/$12; children 6-12/$6; under 6/free.

 

Susquehanna Class of 70 Reunion

The Susquehanna Community High School Class of 1970 is holding their 51st year Class Reunion on Saturday, Oct. 16. The date coincides with the Susquehanna Community High School’s “Homecoming Weekend.”

Saturday evening will begin with a “Meet and Greet” prior to the dinner, both happening  at the Strider-Teskey Post#86 American Legion, Main St., Susquehanna.

Chicken & Biscuit Dinner

A chicken and biscuit dinner will be held Thursday, Oct. 21, at Springville United Methodist Church. This is a drive-through only dinner, from 4-6 p.m. Cost is $12.

Fall Vendor Extravaganza

The Susquehanna United Methodist Women’s Group will be holding their “Fall Vendor Extravaganza” event on Saturday, Nov. 6, in the Fellowship/Dining Room of the Susquehanna United Methodist Church, 1361 Main Street, Susquehanna.
