Warriors sunk by DV

Elk Lake’s boys’ and girls’ swimming and diving teams were handed a pair of losses by Delaware Valley at home on Tuesday evening.

The girls’ team was defeated 116-71, while the boys’ team faced a 104-79 loss.

First place finishes on the girls’ side came from Abby Zdancewicz in the 200 free at 2:15.71 and 500 free at 6:01.84, Rina Nikolaidis in the 50 free in :27.49, Chelsea Karabin in the 100 free at :59.08 and the 200 free relay team of Nikolaidis, Zdancewicz, Karabin and Emmie Gibson at 1:51.66.

Seconds were recorded by the 200 medley relay team and Nikolaidis (100 back).

Thirds came from Wimmer (50 free), Rachel Grosvenor (100 fly), Karabin (100 breast) and the 400 free relay team.

On the boys’ side, first place finishes came from Adam Phillips in the 100 fly at 57.94 and 200 free at 1:51.89, Cody Mowry in the 50 free at 24.97 and 100 back at 1:06.72, the 200 free relay team of Phillips, Mowry, John Kreig and Manzek in 1:40.02 and the 400 free relay team of Phillips, Manzek, Sterner and Grosvenor in 3:56.67.

Seconds were recorded by the 200 medley relay team, Dylan Simmons (diving), Sterner (100 fly), Kreig (100 free) and Jordan (100 breast).

Thirds came from Jordan (200 IM), Kreig (50 free) and Grosvenor (100 free).
