Police discover marijuana while patrolling flooded areas

Police on patrol in areas of flooding along Snake Hill Rd. and other dirt roads in Franklin Twp. on Thursday, Aug. 16 discovered multiple marijuana plants being grown outside a residence.

According to police, the marijuana plants were growing in multiple plant containers and buckets.

Police seized the plants from the residence of Roger Weidow, 24, Montrose. He faces charges, filed by Tpr. Timothy Walker, related to the incident, including criminal attempt – manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture or deliver; 12 counts of manufacture, delivery or possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture or deliver; 12 counts of possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered; and 12 counts of marijuana – small amount personal use.

Weidow waived his Monday, Aug. 20 preliminary hearing in Montrose District Court and the case heads to the Susquehanna County Court of Common Pleas.
