SCSD offering free breakfast for all students

Every Susquehanna Community School District student will be able to eat breakfast for free. The school board has decided to start a Universal Free Breakfast program in both schools which commenced on the first day of school, Monday, Aug. 26.

Students are able to arrive at school; stop at their assigned kiosk to pick up their breakfast, and eat in the cafeteria or their homeroom.

All breakfast items are 100% whole grain and served with 100% juice, fresh fruit, and milk. Studies show that eating breakfast at school can help your child stay full and focused while in class.

All students are eligible; however, if you would not like your child to participate, you can fill out a Cafeteria Account Flag Form available on the school website www.scschools.org/parents/.

For more information on the new program and what it has to offer, please contact Codie Keogh, Food Service Director, at 570-853-4921 x1314 or ckeogh@scschools.org.
