SCSD offering free breakfast for all students

Every Susquehanna Community School District student will be able to eat breakfast for free. The school board has decided to start a Universal Free Breakfast program in both schools which commenced on the first day of school, Monday, Aug. 26.

Students are able to arrive at school; stop at their assigned kiosk to pick up their breakfast, and eat in the cafeteria or their homeroom.

All breakfast items are 100% whole grain and served with 100% juice, fresh fruit, and milk. Studies show that eating breakfast at school can help your child stay full and focused while in class.

All students are eligible; however, if you would not like your child to participate, you can fill out a Cafeteria Account Flag Form available on the school website

For more information on the new program and what it has to offer, please contact Codie Keogh, Food Service Director, at 570-853-4921 x1314 or
