Montrose Council sets Trick or Treat hours

Montrose Borough Council acknowledged residents’ requests to allow for people who wish to participate in Halloween for the children at the Monday, Oct. 5 meeting. 

Council set the hours of Trick or Treat from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with curfew of 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 31. 

Council requests participants to abide by the current CDC recommendations. Residents who wish to participate are asked to have their porch light on.

Leaf pick up will officially start on Monday, October 19th and continue until Friday, November 20th.  As a reminder, please rake leaves as close to the curb as possible without blocking drainage.

Andrew Genneken has been approved to conduct the yearly “Fill the Cruiser” for the Veterans.  He will be in Scarfalloto’s Hometown Market parking lot on October 24th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Borough Council members are anticipating adopting the International Property Maintenance Code, 2018 Version, at their normally scheduled meeting on November 2nd at 7 p.m.  If approved, this code will replace the current Montrose Borough Code.
