Blue Ridge

The Blue Ridge boys’ soccer team picked up a 3-2 victory over Carbondale at an away game on Wednesday.

In the first half, Carbondale scored at 12:07 to get a lead going into halftime.

After the break, the Chargers scored at 39:45 in the second half to make it a 2-0 lead, before Blue Ridge’s Nick Vales scored a pair of unassisted goals at 29:36 and 4:47 to send the game into overtime.

In extra minutes, Blue Ridge’s Wes Ward scored a goal with an assist from Jacob James at 7:50 to take the win.

Blue Ridge had seven shots on goal with four corners while goalie Tama Galu-Edgar had 11 saves at the net.

Forest City

Forest City’s boys’ soccer team picked up a 3-2 win over Mid Valley at home on Saturday.

In the first half, David Cavalieri scored at 6:50 with an assist from Jake Fedak, before Ryan Long would score at 30:06 to put the Foresters up 2-0.

Brian Nebzydoski got scored half scoring started with a goal off an assist from Logan McHale at 51:07.

Despite two late game goals from Mid Valley, the Foresters picked up the win.

The Foresters had 15 shots on goal and six corners while goalie Zack Sosnowski had three saves.

Mountain View

The Mountain View boys’ soccer team took a 1-0 victory over Wallenpaupack at home on Wednesday.

Brothers Dylan and Colby Thomas connected to score the lone goal at the seven minute mark in the first half to give the Eagles the win.

Mountain View had 13 shots on goal and two corners while goalie Chris Herman picked up nine saves on goal.

Elk Lake

Elk Lake’s boys’ soccer team faced a 2-0 loss from Valley View in a home game on Wednesday.

In the first half, Valley View’s Zack Korjeski scored at 28:00 to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead at the half.

After the break, Korjeski scored again at 68:19 to lift the Cougars to the 2-0 victory.

Elk Lake had six shots on goal and three corners while goalie Nick Dudock picked up 19 saves at goal.
