EL, Montrose, Mt. View race to wins Susquehanna edged by HC at the line

Elk Lake used a balanced attack and won every quarter to defeat Lackawanna Trail 62-34.

Tamara Voda and Lily Decker combined for 11 points as the Lady Warriors opened up a 17-9 lead after the opening quarter.

Elk Lake took control of the game in the second quarter as six players scored and pushed the lead to 29-17 at intermission.

In the second half Mercedes Zajaczkowski and Krista Jones combined for 13 points as the Lady Warriors stretched the lead to 48-27

Zajaczkowski led Elk Lake with 16 points while Voda finished with 13 and Jones scored 12. Decker chipped in with nine and Delaney Curley added seven.

Holy Cross used a 36-13 advantage at the foul line to defeat Division III leading Susqeuahanna 61-51 in crossover game.

Susquehanna jumped out to the early lead at home as Taylor Huyck scored 10 points and the Lady Sabers led 14-12.

In the second quarter Mackenzie Steele got rolling for the Lady Sabers scoring seven points while Huyck and Makenzie Heath each knocked down a three-point field goal to offset 10 points from Kaci Kranson as Holy Cross tied the game at 27 before halftime.

After intermission Holy Cross extended the lead outscoring Susquehanna 18-12 as Steele and Huyck combined for 11 points to keep Susquehanna in the hunt at 45-39.

In the fourth quarter the Lady Crusaders were 15-18 from the free throw line to thwart any Susquehanna comebacks. Huyck had seven points in the quarter including a pair of threes and Steele added four points.

Huyck finished with 25 points including five three-pointers and Steele added 19 to lead the Lady Sabers.

Montrose outscored Forest City 33-10 in the first half on their way to a 66-29 victory.

Tangi Smith led the way for Montrose with 20 points and Ciara Hundley contributed 12 and Mia Snyder added 11 while Haley Pompey chipped in with nine.

Bella Pleska paced Forest City with 11 points.

Mountain View jumped out to a big opening quarter lead as the Lady Eagles cruised to a 42-25 win over Blue Ridge.

After opening with a 16-3 first quarter advantage Mountan View tacked on 12 more before halftime and led 28-12. The teams played even afte halftime with the Lady Eagles outscoring the Lady Raiders 14-13 in the second half.

Regan Cameron paced Mountain View with 16 points while Taylor Neri added 11. Madison Gelinger led Blue Ridge with eight and Ashley Torres finished with seven.
